Job Title: Functional TesterLocation: United State,Texas,DallasJob Type: Full-timeExperience Level: Mid-Level (2–5 years)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Functional Tester to join our QA team. The Functional Tester will be responsible for evaluating software applications to ensure they meet specified requirements and function as intended. This role requires close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure the highest quality of product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test cases and scenarios.
Execute functional, regression, and integration tests on web, mobile, or desktop applications.
Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives (Agile/Scrum environment).
Report testing results and ensure defects are fixed before product release.
Maintain and update test documentation and traceability matrices.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) support when needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in functional testing.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, TestComplete, etc.) is a plus.
Knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred.
