Clinical Lead Pharmacist- Oncology Services

Lead. Teach. Innovate. Make a measurable impact on patient care and pharmacy practice.

Position Summary:

As a Clinical Lead Pharmacist, you'll serve as both a hands-on clinical practitioner and a departmental leader-supporting patient care, advancing pharmacy practice, and mentoring pharmacy staff. In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of a Clinical Pharmacist, you'll provide expert pharmaceutical care through clinical services, staff development, education, research, and direct patient engagement. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape outcomes not only within the pharmacy department but across the broader healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care through direct patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration

  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for pharmacy staff and learners

  • Contribute to teaching and precepting of pharmacy students and residents

  • Participate in general pharmacy staffing and operational support as needed

  • Lead or support quality improvement initiatives, protocol development, and research efforts

  • Collaborate across departments to promote safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use

  • Maintain active involvement in continuing education and specialty board certification

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program

  • Current Missouri pharmacist license, in good standing with Medication Therapy Services (MTS) designation

  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience in the relevant practice area

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification-current or obtained upon hire

  • Attain and maintain Board Certification (BPS) in designated area of practice within 2 years of hire
