Account Payable Clerk

Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkLocation: Grand Forks, NDCompensation: $23.50 per hour – paid weeklySchedule: Day shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:00pmJob Type: Temporary | Full-timeAbout the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk for a company in Grand Forks, ND. In this role, you’ll support the organization’s financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, reconciliations, and accounting records. Read below for more information!What You’ll Do as an Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests according to company policies
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure company records match bank statements
• Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable and other transactions
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice or payment discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Support accounts receivable and travel & expense processes as needed

What You Need to Bring to the Accounts Payable Clerk Role:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Previous accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, including journal entries and reconciliation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams
• Experience with Plan Software or similar accounting platforms preferred
