Accountant

Pay: DOEMonday–Friday (Day Hours)

Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with strong analytical skills? If so, this opportunity may be the perfect fit for you! A well-established manufacturing company in Orange City, IA is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This position plays a key role in financial reporting, forecasting, and supporting overall business operations through accurate analysis and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing, coordinating, and documenting financial analysis projects
Provide analytical support for forward-looking financial and business-related initiatives
Assist in preparing forecasts and analyzing trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, and general business conditions
Assist in financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts
Work cross-functionally to ensure ad-hoc business needs are met
Review and prepare financial statements, disclosures, reconciliations, and reports
Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP
Perform cost accounting for manufacturing, forecasting, and budgeting
Provide backup support for A/R and A/P specialists
Review accounting processes and recommend improvements as needed
Perform backup for key Site Controller activities

Requirements:

Five years of professional experience as an accountant, auditor, or business analyst OR a valid CPA certificate with at least three years of professional experience preferred
Experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of ERP systems and ERP administration functionality
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs, pivot tables, filters)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
