This position is well‑suited for an experienced accountant who has moved beyond transactional work and is comfortable owning complex processes, meeting deadlines, and collaborating across teams.

Primary Responsibilities

General Accounting

  • Prepare standard monthly and annual journal entries and perform general ledger account reconciliations

  • Own assigned accounting areas such as accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and leases

  • Participate in period‑end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal rework

  • Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits, surveys, and compliance requirements

  • Utilize ERP systems to research, analyze, and validate accounting data

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.

Ownership Program

  • Serve as a primary administrator of Foth's employee ownership program, supporting equity‑related processes from execution through reconciliation

  • Manage ownership‑related transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records

  • Maintain and administer the ownership system (e.g., Shareworks or similar equity administration platform), including data integrity and required updates

  • Prepare and reconcile ownership‑related journal entries and schedules as part of monthly, quarterly, and annual close

  • Support ownership‑related financial reporting, audit requests, valuations, and compliance requirements

  • Coordinate ownership activities with HR, Payroll, Legal, and Accounting to ensure timely and accurate execution of ownership events

  • Respond to ownership‑related inquiries from internal stakeholders with professionalism, clarity, and discretion

Collaboration & Professional Expectations

  • Manage multiple priorities independently, applying sound judgment and attention to detail

  • Communicate proactively with accounting teammates and cross‑functional stakeholders

  • Share knowledge and support continuity within the accounting team

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for journal entries, reconciliations, and period‑end close

  • Hands‑on general accounting experience (GL, reconciliations, journal entries)

  • Experience working in an ERP system in a corporate accounting environment

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., reconciliations, schedules, data validation)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Experience supporting audits and preparing accounting schedules or documentation

  • Direct experience administering equity, ownership, or stock‑based programs

  • Experience with Deltek VantagePoint (Foth's ERP System)
