Accountant Branch Financial Accounting

Day to Day Responsibilities

This role involves working closely with the Branch Financial Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and closing of the General Ledger. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the month-end close processes, including collaboration with cross-functional groups to complete reconciliations.
• Producing and delivering monthly Balance Sheet analysis and substantiation support.
• Preparing monthly financial statements, along with all related deliverables.
• Delivering quarterly Head Office reports and supporting inquiries related to the underlying data.
• Performing monthly intercompany analysis, resolving discrepancies with cross-functional teams.
• Supporting audit deliverables and inquiries, including Internal Audit, SOX, and External audits.

Skills Required

To be successful in this role, the following skills and qualifications are required:

• 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Basic accounting knowledge is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (basic formulas and pivot tables preferred).
• Ability to learn ERP systems quickly, such as GLCS.
• Capability to work independently and effectively communicate, collaborate, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Strong time management and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
