Job Description
Tax AccountantMain Responsibilities include:
- Assist Tax Seniors and Managers with Tax Research and Compliance functions
- Prepare tax returns – Individual, Corporation, Partnership and Trust
- Maintains Tax related schedules
- Assist with responses to notices from the IRS and other reporting agencies
- Assist with year-end tax projections
- Compute quarterly estimates and other computations as needed
- Other assignments as required
- B.A./B.S. in accounting or finance
- CPA, candidate for CPA (preferable)
- Has experience with Accrual Basis of Accounting
- 2 to 3 years in similar capacity in a CPA firm environment
- Detailed oriented
- Uses good judgment
- Good Communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Proficient computer skills – Lacerte, RIA, BNA and other accounting software
- Organized/Good Time Management skills
- Uses appropriate discretion – handling sensitive confidential information
