Accounting Analyst

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Accounting Analyst in Salem, Virginia. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for processing machine billing, calculating commissions, analyzing profit, and performing general accounting duties, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable. The individual in his role will ensure invoices are accurate and timely, resolve discrepancies, support revenue recognition, and help maintain the integrity of company financial reporting by understanding key company cycles. Seeking candidates with previous accounting experience required; Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, preferred.

Physical requirements must be met for the Accounting Analyst job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
