The ideal candidate will support financial operations by analyzing accounting data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is perfect for someone with strong analytical skills who thrives in a dynamic environment, contributing to the financial health and strategic decision-making of the organization.Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns, audits, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., GAAP and IRS guidelines).
• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, general ledger entries, and intercompany transactions.
• Develop and maintain financial models using tools like Excel or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for business decisions, such as pricing strategies or investment evaluations.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial operations.
• Support internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of California-specific tax and labor laws is advantageous.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, given the diverse community in Merced.
