Company Overview

We are a family-owned Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup company serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to manage our day-to-day financial operations and support our growing team.

This role will start as part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position and potentially a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Process weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of time and pay
  • Perform daily and weekly bookkeeping tasks
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records
  • Assist with monthly close and financial reporting
  • Work with ownership to maintain accurate job costing and financial tracking
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation
  • Support office operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information - Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience in service-based or construction-related business
  • Familiarity with job costing or ServiceTitan
  • Experience managing AR collections
