Company Overview
We are a family-owned Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup company serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to manage our day-to-day financial operations and support our growing team.
This role will start as part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position and potentially a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Process weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of time and pay
- Perform daily and weekly bookkeeping tasks
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records
- Assist with monthly close and financial reporting
- Work with ownership to maintain accurate job costing and financial tracking
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Support office operations as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll processes
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential financial information - Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in service-based or construction-related business
- Familiarity with job costing or ServiceTitan
- Experience managing AR collections
