Job Description

Accounting and Payroll Specialist

Pay Rate: $25-$28

Schedule: 7:30am-4pm

Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting and Payroll Specialist. This role supports daily accounting operations and payroll processing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent internal customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll and employee compensation records.

Review timesheets, payroll changes, and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and customer accounts.

Prepare reconciliations, support month-end close activities, financial reporting, payroll tax filings, and audit documentation.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with payroll, accounting, and company procedures.Collaborate with internal departments and support process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.• Two or more years of payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping experience preferred.• Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and general accounting practices.• Proficiency with QuickBooks, payroll/accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle confidential information professionally.
