JOB DESCRIPTION:

Back Market's Finance team is at the core of our growth engine, ensuring the financial integrity of a rapidly scaling global marketplace. As part of the Accounting team, you will report directly to the Head of Accounting and play an active role in our day-to-day accounting operations and continuous process improvement.

As an Accountant Apprentice, you will get hands-on exposure to accounts payable, monthly closings, and financial tools management in a fast-paced, international environment. You will combine analytical rigor with operational excellence to help keep our books tight and our processes smarter.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT):

• Own accounts payable end-to-end - manage provider invoices matched with purchase orders, handle supplier requests, and perform conformity checks with analytical imputation

• Keep our open orders in check - analyze outstanding purchase orders and ensure timely resolution

• Be a key contributor to monthly closings - participate in accruals, prepaid expenses, and deferred expense calculations and postings

• Manage auxiliary accounts - analyze and reconcile supplier accounts to ensure accuracy

• Champion our expense management tool - handle organizational updates, transaction accounting, and day-to-day operations

• Drive continuous improvement - proactively identify and implement process enhancements to make our accounting operations faster and smarter

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF:

• You are hands-on, rigorous, and highly organized with a strong analytical mindset

• You have solid accounting knowledge and are eager to put it into practice

• You are a natural communicator who thrives working in a team

• You are proactive and never shy away from taking initiative

• You embrace challenges and always want to keep learning

• You are fluent in English and have at least a B2 level in French

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP ️

• Starting date: September 2026

• Duration: 12 months or 24 months

• Location: Paris, France

• Contract: You must already be enrolled in a work-study program in a French school (contrat d'alternance / d'apprentissage)
