Accounting Assistant (Temporary)Location: Albion, NEPay: Starting at $20.00/hour DOESchedule: Monday Friday | 25 40 hours per weekAre you organized, detail-oriented and enjoy working with numbers? We're hiring a Temporary Accounting Assistant to support a busy accounting department in Albion. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounting or bookkeeping experience who is looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate is dependable, proficient with Microsoft Excel and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while handling confidential information.What You'll Do
- Process accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records
- Enter daily production, inventory, shipment and receipt information
- Create and reconcile vendor and product documentation
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly accounting reports
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
- Assist with account reconciliations and month-end closing activities
- Support payroll accruals, inventory reporting and financial tracking as assigned
- Communicate with plant personnel and corporate accounting teams
- Perform a variety of administrative and accounting duties to support department operations
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)
- 1 3 years of accounting, bookkeeping or finance experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial information
- Starting pay of $20.00+/hour DOE
- Monday Friday schedule
