Accounting & Billing Specialist – Federal Government Contracting (Remote)Position SummaryNetwork Runners, Inc. (NRI) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting & Billing Specialist to support the company’s accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, along with day-to-day administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow with the company. Experience in a DoD or federal government contracting environment is strongly preferred, particularly in areas such as contract invoicing, payroll, Other Direct Costs (ODCs), travel reimbursement, expense reconciliation, and financial recordkeeping.The individual will work closely with employees and company leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and well-maintained financial and administrative records.Key Responsibilities –
- Process payroll and review employee timesheets.
- Track and reconcile travel, ODCs and employee expenses on contracts
- Prepare and submit invoices for active federal contracts
- Maintain payroll records and assist with related reporting and reconciliations
- Review employee travel expense reports and supporting receipts
- Reconcile corporate credit cards, employees’ expenses, and other accounts
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- Minium 3 years of experience
- Experience with federal government strongly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential payroll and financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
