The Accounting Clerk will provide day-to-day support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, account reconciliations, and general accounting activities.The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable working with numbers, and able to work effectively with both the accounting department and operational teams. • Process invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and other accounting documentation
• Perform Accounts Payable (AP) data entry and invoice matching
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR), including customer invoicing, cash receipts, and account updates
• Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts
• Enter and maintain accurate financial information in the accounting/ERP system
• Assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Review transactions for accuracy and proper coding
• Assist with tracking and reconciling inventory-related transactions
• Work with purchasing, operations, warehouse, and production teams to resolve invoice and receiving discrepancies
• Research discrepancies between purchase orders, receiving records, and vendor invoices
• Prepare routine reports, spreadsheets, and accounting schedules
• Assist with maintaining fixed asset records and other accounting schedules as needed
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding account balances, invoices, and payments
• Support the accounting team with various administrative and special projects
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information
• Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting coursework or an associate degree is a plus
• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member
• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented approach to work

Preferred:

• Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, construction, or industrial environment
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system
• Experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
• Experience with three-way matching (purchase order, receiving, and invoice)
• Experience with inventory accounting or inventory reconciliation
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
