Job Description
Talis Group’s client is a well-established law firm located in downtown Louisville. They are looking to add an Accounting Clerk to their accounting team to assist with data entry, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, collections, & some billing. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with an hourly pay of $22.50/hour ($46,800) and will report to the Controller. This law firm also has a generous benefit package, which includes health, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and Paid Time Off. Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5 OR 8:30-5:30.
Highlighted Duties:
- Accurate, swift, and efficient data entry abilities
- Provide Administrative support such as drafting correspondence, filing, and customer service.
- General Accounting functions (sending payments, receive payments, billing, etc.)
- Accounts Payables: setting up vendors & issuing checks.
- Accounts Receivables: receiving & posting payments and assisting with collections.
- Team atmosphere working with other team members to certify data quality and consistency.
- Ability to assist other team members with functions necessary to run the Accounting Department.
Highlighted Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Previous experience in legal or medical billing is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a professional setting is required.
- Proficiency using Excel and Word is required.
- MUST type 50wpm minimum.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize workflow and use time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to exhibit discretion & strict confidentiality when handling client information.
