Job Description

Summary

CCT's software is where a casino's money gets counted, audited, and turned into journal entries. Accounting Consultants are the people who make sure that happens correctly at every client. You will train revenue audit staff on audit procedures, assess how a property's cage and vault actually operate, configure the chart of accounts and clearing accounts inside Insight Cash, and sit with client controllers through their first month-end close on our platform. The role is built as a three-tier progression — audit first, then operations, then accounting — so you learn how a casino's money moves day to day before you touch anyone's general ledger. Much of the work happens on-site, in the count room and the accounting office, next to the people who do this every shift. This is a starting role, and the tiers exist precisely because nobody arrives knowing casino accounting.

What You'll Do

Revenue audit foundation. Learn, then teach, the core audit types — bank machines, tables, gaming, jackpots, non-gaming, poker, sportsbook, bingo, and IOUs. Deliver pre-go-live audit training to client revenue audit staff and walk them through validation procedures until it sticks.

Site assessment and go-live. Assess cage and vault operations and count room procedures at each property. Support go-live audit, manage audit flow through early production, foot opening accounts back to the client’s manual count sheets, and troubleshoot variances to their actual cause.

Accounting configuration. Configure GL account codes in Insight Cash to model the client's chart of accounts. Build the one-time journal entries for cash reconciliation across single- and multi-property environments. Understand clearing accounts well enough to explain the design to a controller and have it hold up.

Month-end close. Support client accounting teams through month-end reconciliation. Review financial statement output from Insight Cash for accuracy during go-live and stabilization. Find reconciliation discrepancies and work them to resolution with client staff rather than handing them a list.

Training and documentation. Deliver pre-go-live accounting training to controllers and accounting staff. Adjust depth and pace to the room. Keep process documentation current so the next consultant on that account is not starting from scratch.

How We Work

Three tiers, in order. Audit, then operations, then accounting. You do not configure a general ledger before you can explain where a jackpot audit variance came from. The sequence is deliberate and it is written down.

You will be taught, deliberately. A senior consultant pairs with you through your early go-lives, walks you through troubleshooting in real time, and gives you structured feedback after each project milestone. Asking a question is not a mark against you here; guessing quietly is.

You grow into owning the accounting scope. By Tier 3, its accuracy and completeness on your projects are yours end to end — the configuration, the journal entries, the chart of accounts design. That is real responsibility, and it is why the earlier tiers are not optional.

On-site, with the people doing the work. The count room teaches you things a textbook never will. Expect regular travel to client properties, especially around assessments and go-lives.

Regulations are part of the job. Jurisdictions differ, internal controls differ, and clients rely on us to know the difference. You will build that knowledge deliberately, not by accident.

Progression is earned, not waited out. There is a published track from Accounting Consultant through Senior and Principal, with the competencies for each tier written down. You will see it in your first week. Nobody is counting your years.

Experience Needed

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field — recent graduates and upcoming December or spring graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Solid grasp of accounting fundamentals from coursework or internship experience — debits and credits, financial statements, cash versus accrual, and account reconciliation.
  • Comfortable standing in front of a room and walking people through a process, including people who did not ask for a new system.
  • Careful, precise written communication. You will document processes other people depend on.
  • Genuinely detail-oriented. Reconciliations do not forgive approximate work.
  • Willing to travel to client properties on a regular basis.

Nice to Have

  • Internship in public accounting, internal audit, or corporate finance.
  • Any prior work in a casino, hotel, or gaming environment — cage, count room, cashiering, or floor operations all count.
  • Coursework or exposure to internal controls, auditing, or regulatory compliance.
  • CPA eligibility, or a plan to sit for the exam.
  • Basic SQL or Excel modeling, or the appetite to pick either up.

Work Authorization

This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization or visa sponsorship (including initial, transfer, or extension). Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and remain authorized for the duration of employment without the need for sponsorship.

Benefits

  • Health, Dental, Vision Insurance
  • Profit Sharing
  • Discretionary Time Off
  • 401K Matching
  • Health Club
  • Mobile Phone Stipend
