Job Description

Inventory & Internal Control Manager

? Location: Oakville, ON? Employment Type: Full?time | Onsite

Epitec is seeking to hire an experienced Inventory & Internal Control Manager to support a large, global automotive organization headquartered in Oakville, ON. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of inventory accounting, financial controls, and compliance processes while leading a small team focused on inventory accounting, parts pricing, payables, and internal controls.

This is a high?visibility role partnering closely with Finance, Operations, Audit, and Dealer teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise a finance team supporting:

    • Inventory accounting & monthly journal entries

    • Account reconciliations and failed receipt resolution

    • Dealer billings, pricing corrections, and invoicing inquiries

    • Supplier invoice processing and debit/credit memos

  • Manage the Dealer Parts Return Program, including metrics, dealer communications, appeals, and depot support

  • Lead preparation, review, and submission of the monthly Inventory Report

  • Coordinate internal controls and audit activities including:

    • OICs

    • Pilferable Parts Annual Study

    • Internal Audit coordination

    • Annual access reviews

  • Review and approve journal entries, intercompany billings, reconciliations, and memos

  • Serve as business owner for parts applications and system updates

  • Maintain and publish updates to the Parts Operations Manual (POM) and holiday bulletins

  • Ensure strong internal controls are implemented and followed to safeguard company assets

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, or internal controls

  • Prior experience supervising teams and managing multiple priorities

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross?functionally

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills

  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems (preferred)

  • Experience in parts supply, logistics, or inventory management is a plus
