Title: AP Transformation Consultant Work Location: Austin, TX, 78746- Hybrid, 3 days onsite/ week Duration : 06+ months Pay Rate: $60-$67 an hour on w2- Some Flexibility Company Overview Company is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager/Director to lead our Accounts Payable Transformation initiative. As a key member of our Finance leadership team, you will drive the modernization and optimization of our AP function through process reengineering, digital transformation, and operational excellence. Position Summary The AP Transformation Senior Manager/Director will be responsible for leading the strategic transformation of the Accounts Payable function, implementing innovative solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. This role requires a blend of financial expertise, process improvement capabilities, and change management skills to successfully modernize our AP operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to transform the Accounts Payable function, aligning with broader finance and organizational objectives Lead the assessment, redesign, and implementation of AP processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls Spearhead the selection and implementation of advanced AP technologies, including automation, AI, OCR, and analytics tools Establish KPIs and metrics to measure AP performance and demonstrate transformation value Partner with IT, Procurement, and business stakeholders to ensure integrated end-to-end P2P processes Build and lead a high-performing team to execute transformation initiatives Manage vendor relationships related to AP technologies and services Develop and implement standardized policies and procedures for AP operations Create and deliver executive-level presentations on transformation progress and results Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the AP function Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field 8+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting, with at least 5 years in AP leadership roles Proven track record leading successful transformation initiatives in finance operations Strong understanding of AP processes, controls, and regulatory requirements Experience implementing finance technology solutions, particularly in the AP space Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Outstanding leadership and change management capabilities Superior communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence at all levels Proficiency with ERP systems and AP automation solutions Preferred Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field CPA, CAPP (Certified Accounts Payable Professional), or similar certification Experience with specific ERPs (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and AP automation platforms Experience in shared services or global AP operations Knowledge of emerging technologies such as RPA, machine learning, and blockchain International business experience and understanding of global AP requirements
