Job Description
3-6 MONTHS - ONSITE POSITION - SHIFT - 8AM - 5PM.I. Position Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for working closely with the Finance team to ensure a smooth, timely month-end close process. This individual provides assistance with SOX compliance and is involved in the annual budgeting process.II. Essential Functions Performs and assists with month-end and quarter-end closing accounting tasks including preparation/input of journal entries ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Ensures that reconciliations and supporting schedules and analysis are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with the monthly closing schedule. Prepares and maintains month-end closing shared folders. Preparation and assistance with month-end analytical review of actuals versus budget/forecast. Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Provides assistance with SOX compliance by ensuring internal controls are adhered to. Provides assistance to Sr. Manager Financial Operations and Accounting on quarter-end inventory close and various analyses. All other duties as assigned.III. Position RequirementsEducation and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Minimum of four to six years of experience and solid understanding of GAAP. Experience in public accounting preferred.Knowledge/Skills Requirements: Ability to manage a wide range of finance-related responsibilities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines and timelines. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance daily operations and project work in a fast-paced setting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in MS Office Suite, and experience with general ledger systems.This position requires minimal travel; average travel for this position is 5% with some variation based upon the demands of the business imperatives. Travel is for inventory purposes.
