Nature and Scope:

Daman Products is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our team in Mishawaka, Indiana. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting day-to-day accounting operations and financial processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance to gain practical experience while working alongside an experienced team and contributing to real business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

  • Support invoice processing, data entry, and reconciliation activities

  • Help prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and documentation

  • Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations

  • Review and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, talk, and hear.

The employee frequently is required to sit and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend and stop, push, and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
