Job Description

As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, and conducting financial analysis. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, as well as coordinating audits and tax filings.

In this role, you will collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. You will play a key role in budgeting and forecasting, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as you will be guiding and mentoring your team to achieve departmental goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete accounting and reporting activities in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and prescribed accounting policies and/or the financial procedures of the organization.
  • Manages a Central Accounting team that will provide oversight and standardization of certain tasks across the portfolio.
  • Oversee certain Key Controls from a SOX perspective (i.e. medical insurance, Risk Insurance and 401k/SIRP)
  • Manages the accounting function by supervising daily, weekly and monthly data entry activities.
  • Review general ledger accounts to ensure that activity complies with company policies and procedures and that balances are accurately stated.
  • Provides leadership and opportunities for professional growth and development for the team.
  • Ensure deadlines for month-end close and financial reporting requirements are met and all accounting and reporting activities are performed in accordance with the accounting policies and/or the financial procedures of the organization.
  • Preparation of standard reporting templates and packages are completed accurately and timely.
  • Provide documentation and support to internal and external auditors.

  • Review newly executed contracts/amendments to validate that financial systems are set up appropriately.
  • Ensure that new opening packages and closing packages are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in ad hoc special projects by supporting management and the project team in various tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • 4-8 years of progressive accounting management experience required.
  • MBA or CPA is strongly preferred.
  • Prior audit experience or experience dealing with external auditors is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team in an ever-evolving environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with various levels of management and to influence others without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills are essential to success in this position.
  • Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications as well as Aramark financial systems is required.

Benefits

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
