Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager – ConstructionWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a growing and dynamic multi-entity construction organization. This role will oversee high-volume accounting operations across multiple divisions and report directly to the Controller.This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both hands-on accounting and team leadership.Key Responsibilities• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements across divisions• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes• Drive budgeting and forecasting efforts across construction projects and business units• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit processes• Identify and implement process improvements and system efficiencies• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, including tax filingsQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role• Prior experience in construction or job cost accounting • Strong experience with multi-entity accounting and high transaction volume• Knowledge of financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls• Experience with Jonas Premier and/or SmartUI strongly preferred• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skillsWhat We Offer• Competitive salary + bonus potential• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance• 401(k) with company match• Opportunity for career growth within a growing organization• Collaborative and team-oriented environment HOUAC49
