In this fully remote role (must reside in TX, AZ, NC, SC, FL, GA, IN, KY, or TN), you’ll take ownership of inventory and cost of sales accounting across multiple manufacturing sites. You’ll work independently, influence cross-functional partners, and help drive process improvements during a major ERP transformation.You will thrive in this role if you are self-directed, detail-oriented, and confident navigating SAP S/4HANA in a large, complex environment. This is an exciting opportunity to gain high-visibility project experience, expand your ERP expertise, and contribute to global financial operations — all while working remotely.What You’ll Actually Do as the Accounting Manager:• Lead global inventory and cost accounting activities for multiple manufacturing sites• Prepare and review complex journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end close activities• Manage and review work performed by an outsourced accounting partner• Perform detailed variance analysis, standard costing reviews, absorption analysis, and inventory reserve assessments• Support ERP upgrade initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA system testing and integration support• Prepare audit schedules and collaborate with internal and external auditors• Develop SOPs, process maps, and training materials to enhance accounting workflowsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed as the Accounting Manager:• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a large, complex organization• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and financial reporting• Hands-on experience with SAP and S/4HANA• Experience managing or reviewing work from third-party or outsourced teams• Self-motivated, proactive mindset with the ability to work independentlyIt’s a bonus if you’ve used:• Big 4 public accounting background• CPA designation• Experience supporting ERP implementations or system optimizations• Exposure to intercompany, foreign currency, or corporate-level accountingWhy This Role Fits Your Life:• Employment type: 9-month assignment with opportunity to extend• Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday–Friday (EST preferred)• Pay: $42–52/hr (+/- based on experience)• Location: Fully Remote — Must reside in TX, AZ, NC, SC, FL, GA, IN, KY, or TN• Benefits: Offered through CornerStone while on assignmentIf you’re ready to bring initiative, technical depth, and ownership to a high-impact accounting team — let’s talk.
