Accounting Manager - Contractor

What We NeedCorpay is seeking to recruit an Accounting Manager, Contractor for our Global Shared Services and is located in the Brentwood, TN area. As a key member of the finance and accounting team, the successful candidate will lead responsibilities of the company's Global Shared Services Accounting Department and manage close responsibilities with our global subsidiaries as well as work on key initiatives relating to critical processes. The ideal candidate should be motivated, a self-starter, detail-oriented, strong in accounting concepts, have a willingness to learn and be a team player. You will report directly to VP Assistant Corporate Controller and regularly collaborate with multiple teams and departments.How We WorkAs an Account Manager, you will be expected to work in an office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Assigned workspace in Brentwood office 4 days a week.

Company-issued equipment + remote access

Role ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:

Manage month-end close activities, including timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, inter-company elimination process, expense accruals, prepaid amortization, lease accounting, fixed assets, and account reconciliations

Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close in accordance with company policies and controlsReview monthly and quarterly reporting analysis and other management reporting as assignedMentor and supervise team members and certain functions managed by the Controller's DepartmentContinually evaluate and optimize month-end close processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracyDevelop/enhance, implement, and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks of the business.Work with internal and external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year-end auditPartner with and liaise with other departments on resolving month-end close questions while working on strategic initiativesParticipate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in AccountingCPA, CMA, CHA or CPA candidate preferred7+ years of experience in accounting rolesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSolid organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to be self-directed and self-motivatedDemonstrate ability to mentor team membersAbility to coordinate and work with business leaders in multiple locationsAbility to meet deadlines in a timely accurately in a high-paced environmentMust be a hands-on, detail-oriented individualThe right person will be ambitious and flexible, who wants to learn and grow professionallyExcellent Excel skills
