Job Description
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flow.
Provide management with regular financial reports and performance analysis to support business decisions.
Operational Management
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger staff.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maintain internal controls.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads.
Compliance and Audit
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
Coordinate and manage external audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
Maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
Technical and Strategic Functions
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
Manage all tax-related matters, including the preparation and filing of various tax returns.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounting department.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statement
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Provide recommendations
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor Finance Manager
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
