Accounting Manager opportunity!
Position Summary:
Irish Creek is seeking a highly organized, tech-forward, and detail-oriented professional to serve as our Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, job costing, cash flow visibility, and process improvements that support the company’s financial health and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable leveraging AI tools and construction technology platforms to improve efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and enhance financial performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Deltek or Sage 100
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot)
- Strong experience with Excel, including financial reporting
- Experience with construction accounting and job costing
- Experience preparing financial statements from accounting system reports
- Experience preparing financial statements in Excel using accounting system data
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Experience using or willingness to learn Procore
- Comfort with AI tools and technology platforms
Key Responsibilities:
Office Leadership & Administration
- Oversee daily Accounting operations
- Support Office Manager as needed
- Improve workflows and systems
- Report on office performance
Accounting & Financial Management
- Responsible for AR, AP, payroll
- Perform reconciliations and ledger oversight
- Prepare financial statements and WIP reports
- Maintain Excel-based reporting
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts
- Oversee tax filings and compliance
- Establish internal controls and improve processes
Construction & Project Support
- Support PMs with project financial reporting.
Technology, AI & Systems
- Serve as system administrator for accounting software and Office 365
- Ensure data consistency across systems
- Leverage AI tools like Copilot to improve workflows
