Job Description
Established family-owned commercial /residential property company has a great opportunity for a dynamic Accounting Manager /Staff Accountant to join their team! You will serve as the accountant for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, managing the full scope of accounting operations with one direct report and regular collaboration with HR & Payroll.
$75,000-$90,000 annually / Mon-Fri / Direct Hire
What You'll Do
- Record and maintain accurate journal entries
- Process and monitor incoming and outgoing financial transactions
- Manage loan payments, schedules, and escrow funding
- Allocate expenses across multiple residential and commercial properties
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Pull, review, and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Assist with tax preparation, documentation, and year-end reporting
- Support financial audits and internal accounting processes
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality of all financial records
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Real estate or property management accounting experience
- Yardi experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial reporting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
