- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Supervise and mentor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls
- Manage grant accounting activities, including tracking restricted funding, monitoring grant expenditures, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and audit preparation activities
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements
- Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures
- Partner with leadership and program teams to provide financial analysis and operational support
- Assist with special projects and other accounting management responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior nonprofit accounting experience required, including grant accounting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, and financial reporting tools
- Experience working within the harm reduction sector and/or with SAPC-funded programs or grants is preferred but not required
