We are a fast-growing omnichannel retail brand in startup mode, building a differentiated consumer brand across e-commerce, retail, and wholesale channels. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an Accounting Manager to join our small but growing team and help build the accounting infrastructure that will support the next phase of the business.

Job Details
The Accounting Manager will own day-to-day accounting operations while helping establish scalable processes, controls, and systems for a rapidly growing omnichannel business. You’ll have a broad scope across the accounting function, including the general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR, inventory, and retail/wholesale accounting.
The ideal candidate is someone who can roll up their sleeves and get into the details today while simultaneously thinking about how to build a more sophisticated accounting function for tomorrow.
What You'll DoOwn and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial schedulesMaintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial dataBuild and improve accounting processes, policies, procedures, and internal controls as the company scalesManage AP and AR processes, including vendor invoices, payments, customer receivables, and collectionsSupport accounting for multiple sales channels, including DTC/e-commerce, retail, and wholesaleOversee inventory accounting and reconciliations across warehouses, 3PLs, and retail/wholesale channelsReconcile sales activity across platforms, marketplaces, retailers, and payment processorsPartner with operations and supply chain teams to investigate inventory and financial discrepanciesSupport retailer deductions, chargebacks, credits, and other customer-related accounting activitiesPrepare monthly financial reporting and provide insights into variances and trendsAssist with cash flow management, forecasting, and other financial analysesWork closely with external partners, including tax advisors, auditors, and accounting service providersEvaluate and implement tools and systems that improve accounting efficiency and scalabilityIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting accuracyServe as a key accounting partner to leadership and cross-functional teams
What We're Looking For4+ years of progressive accounting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accountingExperience managing or owning the month-end closeExperience in a startup, high-growth, consumer, retail, CPG, e-commerce, or omnichannel environment strongly preferredExperience with inventory accounting and/or retail or wholesale customers is a plusStrong Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort working with large data setsExperience with an ERP/accounting system such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similarHighly organized with strong attention to detailComfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving prioritiesA process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify problems and build practical solutionsStrong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
