Job DetailsThis role manages the day-to-day accounting operations and owns the monthly close for the organization.Responsibilities

• * Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver accurate financial statements on schedule
• * Supervise, train, and develop the accounting team, including review of journal entries and reconciliations
• * Own the general ledger, chart of accounts, and account reconciliation process
• * Prepare and review financial statements with variance analysis and commentary for leadership
• * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions
• * Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain documented internal controls and accounting policies
• * Lead the annual audit, coordinating requests and serving as the primary contact for external auditors
• * Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• * Improve close timelines, reporting quality, and system workflows through process and automation improvements
• * Partner with operations and other departments on accounting questions and business decisions

Qualifications

• * Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• * Supervisory experience leading and developing accounting staff
• * Proven ownership of the full month-end close and financial statement preparation
• * Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• * Experience managing external audits
• * Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
• * Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• * CPA preferred
