Job Details

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager with CPG (food or beverage manufacturing) experience who enjoys being close to the product, the plant, and the people. This is a hands-on role with real influence. You will help own core accounting operations while partnering with the Controller to maintain financial reporting and support a growing consumer brand.

You’ll sit at the intersection of manufacturing, inventory, trade spend, and financial reporting. This is an ideal opportunity for an Accounting Manager who wants to deepen their CPG expertise at a scaling company where you play a critical role in shaping how accounting supports a growing consumer brand. What you’ll do

Own day-to-day CPG accountingHelp manage hands-on daily and monthly accounting, reconciliations, including month-end closeMaintain the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedulesAssist in preparing accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Manufacturing, inventory & margin focusAssist with inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and reconciliations between physical and financial inventoryPartner with operations and manufacturing to ensure accurate costing, yield, and waste reportingAssist Controller with gross margin analysis by channel, product line, and customerPartner closely with accounts receivable and payable, with attention to deductions, collections, and cash flow

Partner with leadershipSupport the Controller in financial close, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis

Build scalable processesMonitor and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsSupport ERP and system enhancements as the business grows in complexity and volumeAssist with tax, regulatory, and food manufacturing compliance requirements

Be a team playerCreate cross-training and process documentation to ensure continuity and reliabilityFoster a collaborative, solutions-oriented accounting function

What we’re looking forExperience in CPG, food & beverage, or manufacturing accountingStrong understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and gross marginsHands-on experience managing month-end close in a growing environmentStrong communication skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)High integrity, reliability, and attention to detail

Technical skillsAdvanced Excel skillsExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systemsManufacturing ERP experience
