Job DetailsWe are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in a fast-paced CPG environment. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Operations, and FP&A to support business decisions, inventory management, and overall financial integrity.This is a high-visibility role with strong exposure to leadership and an opportunity to grow within a dynamic, consumer-focused organization.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close

• * Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• * Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• * Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership

Inventory & Cost Accounting

• * Oversee inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and reserves
• * Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on inventory controls, cycle counts, and process improvements
• * Ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) and margin reporting

Internal Controls & Compliance

• * Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
• * Support audit processes, including coordination with external auditors
• * Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Process Improvement & Systems

• * Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiencies
• * Support ERP system enhancements or implementations
• * Drive automation and scalability as the company grows

Team Leadership

• * Mentor and develop accounting staff (if applicable)
• * Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment

Qualifications

• * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• * CPA required or actively in progress
• * 2–5+ years of public accounting experience required (Big 4 or large regional preferred)
• * 5–8+ years of total accounting experience, including industry experience (CPG, manufacturing, or inventory-heavy environment strongly preferred)
• * Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• * Experience with inventory and/or cost accounting is highly preferred
• * ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills
