This is a critical leadership role responsible for the financial health of the division, focusing on precise job costing, WIP management, and strategic cash flow control for heavy civil projects.Why join us?Benefits:Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance.401(k) with company matching.Paid Time Off (PTO).A stable, growth-oriented work environment with a focus on accountability and team mentorship.Job DetailsKey ResponsibilitiesJob Costing & WIP: Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and analyze profitability for excavation and site development projects.Full-Cycle Accounting: Oversee AP, AR, GL, and payroll (including certified payroll for field crews).Financial Strategy: Develop annual budgets and cash flow forecasts to support capital investments in equipment and operations.Compliance & Controls: Implement internal controls (GAAP), manage lien waivers, subcontractor insurance, and coordinate with external auditors/bonding agents.Operations Partnership: Collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators to ensure accurate cost capturing for labor, equipment, and materials.QualificationsExperience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, specifically within the construction or excavation sectors.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction accounting software (Sage 300 CRE, QuickBooks Contractor, Viewpoint, etc.).Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and equipment cost tracking.Commitment: This is a 100% on-site role in Ewing, IL.Interested in hearing more?
