Job Description
Position Overview:
Oversee efforts of Staff Accountants and Reserve Coordinator Supervisor. Coordinate and provide support for year-end audits. Provide accurate financial information to owners, partners, lenders, and all other interested parties in a timely manner. Investigate and respond to questions and concerns raised by owners and management. Maintain internal control procedures.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):

- Supervision of Staff Accountants including hiring, training, assigning and reviewing work, disciplining, and preparing annual evaluations of performance.
- Review audit workpapers, research auditors questions/comments, coordinate financial statement changes with auditors, and record results.
- Review cashflow calculations based on year-end results, determine priority of cash distributions in accordance with agreements, and distribute accordingly.
- Coordinate year-end financial statement submissions to regulatory agencies, owners, and lenders.
- Work with Information Technology Department to report and resolve software problems, coordinate system and software upgrades related to accounting, and to test and implement new procedures and technology.
- Coordinate preparation, review and submission of information required by Regulatory and Operating Agreements on Hope VI properties.
- Other projects as determined by Director of Accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and/or 6+ years of related experience
- Motivated and well-organized with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to investigate and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Windows, Outlook, Sage Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
- Possess strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Team player with a good work ethic
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/printers, and filing cabinets.
- This position requires sitting, bending, stooping, or standing as necessary. Our offices are equipped with electronic desks for standing or sitting
