STARTING PAY - $90k per year (salary)
FULL-TIME in our main office in Pagosa Springs located at 301 N Pagosa Blvd., Pagosa Springs, CO 81147
The Accounting Manager is responsible for directing all financial functions of TCI, LLC and its related entities. this is a high-visibility, high-accountability role that owns the financial function end to-end — from daily accounting operations to reporting that reaches senior leadership. the ideal candidate is self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of building repeatable financial processes in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage all accounting operations including billing, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Produce accurate, timely financial statements and reports across all company entities Manage and execute month-end close and consolidations, including intercompany transactions Develop, monitor, and audit billing and payroll processes each cycle Oversee cash management and prepare cash flow projections; proactively identify and address cash needs Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the accounting department Input and maintain weekly financial statistics for leadership meetings. Develop and oversee internal financial controls and continuously improve documented, scalable processes Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff and outsourced support Monitor and make recommendations regarding collections, chart of accounts, gross/net profitability, and cost management Coordinate with external partners including tax preparers, legal counsel, and financial advisors Communicate financial metrics clearly to senior management — the right numbers, in the right format, at the right time Maintain accounting software, updates, and other tools needed for normal department operations Provide input to the CEO when changes to the organization are being considered Perform other tasks as assigned by senior leadershipQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; higher education a plus Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience; multi-entity experience strongly preferred Managerial experience with ability to oversee a multifaceted accounting department Proficiency in QuickBooks; NetSuite experience a strong plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed — able to lead and manage financial affairs without micromanagement Translates numbers into decisions, not just reports Professional demeanor with ability to work effectively alongside senior management Ownership mindset — energetic, motivated, constant learner, strong team player, and a committed team playerWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
