This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the details, solving problems, and making a tangible impact. The right person will act as a strong partner to the finance team, helping relieve operational burden, improve day-to-day efficiency, and build a more structured and dependable accounting function.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized
  • Perform and own reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms, including Shopify
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between systems and financial records, including identifying missing or unsynced transactions
  • Support and contribute to the month-end close process, including preparing schedules and assisting with reporting
  • Help bring financial records up to date by addressing gaps, inconsistencies, and manual entries
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual processes across accounting systems
  • Support the transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite, including data cleanup, migration, and validation
  • Assist in establishing best practices and workflows within NetSuite as the system is implemented
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution
  • Ensure revenue is properly recorded and aligned with bank activity and internal systems
  • Assist with invoicing across direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accuracy of inventory and cost data
  • Work closely with the CFO to improve processes, maintain financial accuracy, and support ongoing business needs

Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus
  • 4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a product-based or eCommerce business
  • Experience with NetSuite or involvement in an ERP implementation strongly preferred
  • Strong experience with reconciliations and resolving data discrepancies
  • Experience with Shopify or similar platforms is a plus
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize financial data
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
