Accounting Manager - Commercial Real Estate

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review quarterly CAM, real estate tax, and insurance estimates with annual (or lease-required) true-ups.
Validate lease abstracts, expense caps, exclusions, and charge codes in accordance with lease terms.
Analyze and explain year-over-year variances; recommend billing adjustments.
Prepare tenant communications regarding reconciliations and updated monthly charges.
Perform monthly escrow reconciliations (taxes, insurance, repairs & maintenance).
Monitor required balances and upcoming disbursements.
Bill tenants for escrow shortages and deposit adjustments.
Maintain and update property, tenant, and lease master data within Sage.
Ensure data integrity across rent schedules, escalations, CPI adjustments, and move-in/move-out dates.
Establish and maintain recurring billing and reporting fields.
Run the monthly revenue cycle, ensuring accurate billing and reporting.
Support and maintain the tenant property management portal, ensuring proper utilization for payments and account access.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting.
10+ years of real estate accounting experience, commercial experience required
Strong background in CAM reconciliations, tenant/lease accounting, and lease analysis.
Experience reconciling tenant escrow accounts.
Proficiency in Sage 300 CRE preferred.
Advanced Excel skills with experience managing large data sets and detailed reconciliations.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
