Accounting ManagerLocation: Janesville, WisconsinSalary: $90,000–$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications
Are you an experienced accountant looking for an opportunity to take on greater responsibility and have a meaningful impact on a growing manufacturing company?We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join our Janesville, Wisconsin manufacturing operation. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will play a key part in the company's financial operations, with responsibility for general accounting, monthly close, inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, financial reporting, and oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the numbers, partnering with operations, and improving accounting processes - while also taking the next step in their career.What You'll DoTake an active role in the monthly and year-end financial close process
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations
Analyze standard costs, manufacturing costs, and production variances
Maintain fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
Support annual audit and tax reporting requirements
Directly supervise and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Strengthen accounting controls and identify opportunities to improve processes
Partner closely with Operations, Purchasing, and other departments
Provide financial analysis and support to the Controller and management team
What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field4+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
Inventory and cost accounting experience highly desirable
Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
Strong Excel skills
Experience working with ERP accounting systemsSYSPRO experience is a plus, but not required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to take ownership, meet deadlines, and work independentlyCPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required
