Job Description
Contract Accountant Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 8 - 5Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Cincinnati, Ohio that’s expanding its Shared Services team. Position Overview
- Support core accounting functions within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Contribute to accurate financial operations and continuous process improvement
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure timely and reliable financial data
- Prepare monthly journal entries and support month-end close activities
- Perform account reconciliations, including inventory, accounts receivable, P-card, GR/IR, and accounts payable
- Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and documentation of accounting processes
- Support physical inventory counts and fixed asset tracking
- Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed by leadership
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records and reconciliations
- Assist in auditing internal controls to ensure compliance and minimize risk
- Document and standardize accounting procedures and workflows
- Work cross-functionally with various departments to support financial processes
- Build strong working relationships across teams and organizational levels
- Communicate effectively to meet deadlines and resolve discrepancies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion or similar preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
