Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our Controller and property management accounting operations. This role operates in a high-accountability environment where work is closely reviewed and accuracy and deadlines matter. Ideal candidates value precision, structure, and clear expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Post rent, A/P, journal entries, and general ledger activity
- Process invoices and prepare payments
- Balance accounts and assist with month-end close
- Generate monthly financial reports for properties
- Review financials for accuracy and budget variances
- Work closely with property managers on invoices and approvals
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and customers
- Maintain property management records and reports
- Meet deadlines and support cross-training/backup needs
Systems
- Yardi (required)
- Facility Manager, Commercial Café
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred
- Property management accounting experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable in a high-expectation, detail-driven environment
- Professional communication and positive attitude
