THE ROLE

Legendsseeksa responsible and detailed-orientated Sr. Accountant responsible for capturing, assessing, and communicating statistical data pertinentto the success of the operation. The Sr. Accountant will be the subject matter expert for all financial, operational and risk management metrics through data reporting, assessment, and analytics. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in month-endclose activities including the preparation and review of journal entries and review ofbudget-to-actual reports

• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheets accounts and ensurethat general ledger accounts are reconciled with resolutionto reconciling items

• More complicated work can include consolidations of domesticand foreignentities

• Reconcile general ledgers, post journal entries, andassistwith preparations of financial statements 

• Accruals, fixed-assets, revenue recognition & variance analysis

• Reconcile intercompany accounts and posteliminatingjournal entries

• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. Verify and analyze business records,transactionsand procedures

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliationfor assigned general ledger accounts and balance sheets

• Prepare scheduled for quarterly reviews and year-endauditfor independent external auditors. Research issues, clarify information, and prepare supporting data

• Work closely with intercompany partners on intercompany reconciliations 

• Prepare audit schedules and filing sales/use tax forms in multi-state environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX
