Job Description
New Pig is searching for an Accounting Associate! We're seeking a reliable and precise professional to join our team. We are seeking a candidate who can: work with our accounting and service department, respond to internal and external customer inquiries, work at a fast pace with rapidly changing technology, and more. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts receivable payment application and discrepancy resolutions
- Accounts receivable customer communications (collections and customer inquiries)
- Accounts receivable billing for online customer portals
- Provide superior customer service internally and externally
- Navigating through different financial systems throughout the day
- Assist in special projects and other various accounting operations duties on an as-needed basis
- Provides full backup administration for other accounting personnel in a specific functional area (e.g. AR, AP) when needed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance or related major required. Bachelor's degree is highly desired.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Personable, eager, quick learner, and adaptable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work and communicate effectively, both orally and written, with department leaders and peers
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Windows and Office, especially Word and Excel
