Job Description
Our client, a well-known U.S. accounting and financial advisory firm is interested in hiring accounting and finance professionals that are Certified Public Accountants or who have passed parts of the CPA exam. This role is for people who are looking to broaden their skill sets and gain valuable experiences to help advance their careers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise, plan, and perform audits, reviews, compilations, and various client engagements.
- Lead a team of up to five staff members under supervision of a manager and/or partner.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic and moderately complex workpaper preparation.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and relationships.
- Know and apply specialized knowledge, for example, the rules, regulations, and code of ethics of the AICPA, be familiar with pronouncements of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”) and the AICPA, and applicable state regulations.
- Thoroughly evaluate assigned areas of financial statements and identify potential points for improvement.
- Update Managers and/or Partners of job status and assurance issues in timely manner.

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
- External auditors from public accounting firms with 2-6 years of experience working at a (Big Four or Top Twenty) accounting firm.
- Combo candidates with external audit and corporate accounting and/or finance experience at a large public corporation are also considered.
- CPA or Parts of the CPA exam passed is preferred.
- Strong computer desktop skills required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., macros, pivot tables, etc.) desirable.
Compensation: 110k to 165k (depending on experience) plus Bonus and Profit-Sharing performance. All Benefits.
