Job Description
Accounting Supervisor Location: On-site | Southern California Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 A well-established, nationally operating company in the print and marketing communications space is seeking a Accounting Supervisor to join their corporate finance team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, this role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional looking to contribute in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities: Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Prepare and manage monthly accruals, adjustments, and intercompany journal entries. Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies. Maintain prepaid and fixed asset schedules, including associated amortization and depreciation. Lead and support AP and AR operations, ensuring efficient processes and issue resolution. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and operations to resolve accounting-related issues. Assist in the development and enforcement of internal accounting policies and GAAP compliance. Prepare audit schedules and support external audit processes. Perform additional accounting tasks and projects as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 35+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment. Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Strong Excel proficiency (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.). Experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems; ERP transition experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate a production environment. Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for quality checks and file handling. Must be comfortable with occasional exposure to printing materials and production equipment.
