Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Accounting Supervisor III based at our Berea, KY facility.

What You Will Do;

  • Lead and oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Monitor and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and support compliance initiatives.
  • Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide recommendations and explanations to management.
  • Support the development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-range financial planning activities.
  • Coordinate accounting and reporting activities across multiple locations within the Americas Division.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members while managing workload priorities and performance.
  • Champion process improvement efforts that increase efficiency, enhance reporting quality, and ensure compliance with internal control requirements.

What You Will Need - Education;

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Master's degree in Accounting (MSA) preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, and/or MBA certification preferred.

Skills Experience & Abilities:

  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Account reconciliation and month-end close processes
  • Knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership, coaching, and employee development
  • Process improvement and internal controls expertise
  • Financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience supervising or leading accounting professionals preferred.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and reports.
  • Experience analyzing financial results and communicating findings to management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Experience working with confidential financial information.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, vendors, banks, and customers.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5-6%).
