The Opportunity

The Disbursements Accountant is part of the Adobe Global Accounting and Reporting team andis responsible forperforming global disbursement activities. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams, supports ongoing operations and special initiatives such as merger and acquisition integrations, and contributes to ad‑hoc priorities as business needsevolve

Key Responsibilities

  • Process global disbursement payment runs, including detailed review of payment proposals, audit of transactions, and validation of supporting documentation; perform ad‑hoc corrections as needed.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for disbursement‑related inquiries, including vendor payment questions and issue resolution, in partnership with Accounts Payable.

  • Proactively partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury Operations, General Ledger, and other internal teams to enforce adherence to corporate policies, internal controls, and compliance requirements related to disbursements.

  • Collaborate with banking partners and Adobe IT to resolve banking, transmission, or settlement issues and to implement new regulatory or compliance requirements.

  • Prepare and reviewtransactions related to disbursements, including reversals, adjustments, andpayment resets.

  • Perform general ledger reconciliations;investigate discrepancies andreconcileitemsand drive issues to resolution.

  • Document andmaintaindisbursement processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.

  • Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of explanations and supporting documentation.

  • Performadditionalduties and special projects as assigned based on business needs.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar or equivalent accounting role.

  • Hands‑on experience with cash environments, including multi‑currency transactions, global entities, and diverse banking structures.

  • Recent experience (within the last 24 months) using SAP, Concur, and Ariba. Experiencewith SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience (strongly preferred).

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a highperforming team.

  • Highly organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $52,100 -- $104,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
