Job Description
Accounting Support – Special Project
Our client is seeking someone to assist with general office and accounting duties for a special audit project to last about 6-8 weeks. The Accounting Support person will pick up the slack in the office while other personnel work on the special project. This is an extremely busy environment. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and will be a strong team player.
If you have strong accounting skills, please don’t let the administrative work involved in this special project prevent you from talking to us about this opportunity. Following the successful completion of the project, there may be potential to stay on with this company in a higher skilled capacity with more responsibility.
Hours: Full time, but hours can be flexible
Pay: $25 - $35/hour

Accounting Support Responsibilities:
- Scan, copy and organize audit documentation
- Review salary reporting for accuracy
- Review vendor payment lists and generating reports
- Perform simple math, reconciliations and cross-check data
- Review spreadsheets and reconciling amounts
Accounting Support Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets
- Willing to handle variety of accounting-related tasks, from very simple to complex
- Previous hands-on accounting, financial or payroll experience
- Comfortable with complex journal entries, financial software
Beyond this immediate need, there is potential for growth into a Deputy Treasurer role if you have the right experience.
