Job Description
- Process invoices and payments, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Ensure accurate coding of financial transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and non-profit accounting standards.
- Reconcile credit card statements and retrieve backup.
- Maintain vendor relationships and primary point of contact.
- Entering transactions into the positive pay system.
- Ensure timely and accurate bank deposits.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage experience preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Work with moderate noise, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and independent transportation, to be able to travel on behalf of the organization.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. High school education and equivalent experience also accepted.
- Experience with non-profit accounting, and grant management is a plus.
- Experience with Sage and SAP Concur preferred.
