Job Description
Nextep is in search of an accounts payable specialist to round out our accounting team. Ideally, this person loves numbers, can efficiently balance books, and enjoys working with vendors and other teams. This position manages the day-to-day wires from our clients and processes, verifies, and reconciles invoices. If this sounds like you, apply today!
About the role:
- A typical day in the life of a Nextep accounts payable specialist will include reviewing and processing bills, invoices, and statements.
- The right person for this role is deadline-driven because it requires timely and efficient approvals and payments.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. Address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and filing systems.
- From time to time, this role may work on research projects related to accounts payable history.

Requirements
About you:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have at least two years related accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
